Ikebana Workshop in Alicante 🌿
Hosted by the Japanese cultural nonprofit association “Kizuna,” the long-awaited workshop welcomed a full house of 16 participants passionate about Japanese culture.
After learning about the history of Ikebana, we presented a traditional Suibokuka-Temae demonstration from Koryu Toyokai.
Participants then explored a 3D Ikebana experience using aspidistra leaves, selecting their own flowers and color palettes—ranging from harmonious tones to bold complementary contrasts.
Each creation reflected a unique, European-inspired style while embracing the Japanese aesthetic of “beauty in subtraction.”
A truly fulfilling experience for everyone involved.
