華道家 / Ikebana Artist
In Japanese Ikebana, there is a beauty that does not seek perfection.
Subtle asymmetry, gentle fluctuations of form, and the transitions between seasons –
within this “imperfection,” a quiet and profound sense of peace resides.
As a flower artist, I share not only the techniques of flower arrangement,
but also how to cultivate mindfulness and appreciation for the present moment,
through the practice of working with flowers.
Harmony with nature, cultural connection,
and a quiet prayer for peace.
By sharing these values,
I aspire to serve as a cultural bridge
between Japan and Europe.
Biography
2002
Began studying ikebana under Miyamoto Rihō, Second Iemoto (Grand Master) of the Koryu Toyokai School in Tokyo, Japan.
Accompanied the Iemoto on numerous overseas and domestic ikebana demonstrations held annually. In 2008, traveled with the delegation to the I.I. Hong Kong Chapter, where I deeply experienced the philosophy of Ikebana Seika—the idea that human beings serve as a bridge between heaven and earth.
2011
Relocated to Germany.
2013
Began actively promoting Japanese culture in Germany. Planned and hosted “Kimono and Ikebana Day” at the EKŌ House of Japanese Culture in Düsseldorf, welcoming the Iemoto and Patronage by the Consulate General of Japan. The event attracted over 400 visitors and received a strong public response.
Accordingly participated BUGA in Hamburg, demonstrating Suibokuka-Temae.
In the same year, inspired by my 3 year-old daughter, initiated Shichi-Go-San ceremonies as a form of social and cultural contribution, introducing this traditional Japanese rite to the local community.
2018
Founded the non-profit Japanese cultural organization Wagokoro e.V., creating ongoing opportunities for people to experience Japanese culture through workshops and traditional seasonal events.
2026
Became an freelance Ikebana Artist. Through Ikebana, I continue to connect people with nature and culture, conveying the spirit of Japanese aesthetics across borders.
